Hello, and thank your for your interest in the Body By Sid YOUNG AT HEART program for those 65 years of age and older!

As we age, it is very important that you do not maintain a sedentary lifestyle.  Being active is very important to your health and wellness. 

The Body By Sid YOUNG AT HEART program is a low impact, functional and fun program that will assist you with living a healthy lifestyle.

You want to be able to be independent, protect your heart, have energy  and age gracefully!

 

Overcoming obstacles to getting active as you age can be challenging.

 

If you’re 65 years of age or older,  leading a healthy, active lifestyle is very important.  A fitness program for seniors may just be the right thing for you!

 

If you’ve never exercised before, no worries.  Or, you may not know where to begin. Again, no worries. Maybe you think you’re too old or frail and have doubts of living up to the standards you set when you were younger – no worries!  

 

As we age, our balance abilities go down and we have higher risk of falling. Regular exercise, by building strength and stamina, prevents loss of bone mass and improves balance, reducing your risk of falling.

 

It’s no secret that being physically active on a regular basis is one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself! Studies have shown that exercise provides many health benefits and that older adults can gain a lot by staying physically active. Even moderate exercise and physical activity can improve the health of people who are frail or who have diseases that accompany aging.

 

At Body By Sid, you will learn balance techniques to prevent injury and falling, as well as learn strength training to improve your activities of daily living. As we age, having good balance and strength is important as it eases activities of daily life as you go about your day.

 

This low impact class is for you if you are de-conditioned and want to start working those muscles and give them some “life”!
